Annual Mt. Fuji Pilgrimage "Fujiko Monks"
Our Passion With our domestic travel license we can arrange tours and travel packages anywhere in Japan, from the Northern Island of Hokkaido to the Southern islands of Okinawa, however our passion is Mt. Fuji. We love and specialize in the Mt. Fuji area. Mt. Fuji is more than just a hiking experience, there is so much to see and do in the area. The forest, the shrines, the waterfalls, the nature hot springs, the local cuisines and the hundreds of unique hiking trails added with the indigenous history and myths makes Mt. Fuji an exceptionally distinctive destination.
Mt. Fuji 2-Day Corporate Climbs
Working with Local Partners is key Climbing Mt. Fuji is a unique cultural experience with its own set of unspoken customs that can be easily missed or stomped on unknowingly if not careful. The people working on Mt. Fuji during the climbing season are a tight community who respect these historical traditions. As one of the few non-Japanese Mt. Fuji guides creating and maintaining wholesome relationships with locals is key to being accepted into this close-knit society.
Our goal as a Mt. Fuji climbing specialist is not only to provide safe climbing adventures but also to introduce clients to authentic Japanese experiences. We focus on creating and maintaining wholesome relationships with local partners such as mountain hut owners/workers, local hot springs, traditional hotels etc. With such ties, any tour run by My Tokyo Guide Inc., will give you a truly authentic Japanese experience.
Mt. Fuji Guide Association
The Guidebook Since the summer of 2008, we have been guiding small, large and private climbing tours up Mt. Fuji, all led by English speaking professional guides. We have guided guests from all over the world; trekked all four-summit routes; and completed thousands of successful one-day, two-day and nature hikes around Mt. Fuji.
In the beginning, many climbers commented on the lack of English information available on climbing Mt. Fuji. Therefore, we (and when I say we I mean Richard our Founder and Head Mountain Guide) created a unique Mt. Fuji climbing handbook for our Mt. Fuji climbing tours. The goal of the handbook was not only to provide practical information about climbing Mt. Fuji but also to introduce some of the cultural rituals associated with climbing historic Mt. Fuji. Created just for our Mt. Fuji climbing tours, we ended up publishing the handbook (at the request of our customers) into a fully packed Mt. Fuji information guidebook in 2013 and it has thus unexpectedly become the best selling Mt. Fuji climbing guidebook on the market. The latest edition of “Climbing Mt. Fuji A Complete Guidebook”can be found on Amazon.com.
