Experience Japan’s most beautiful National Park. The volcanically active Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, centered around Lake Ashi, is famous for its onsen hot springs and its views of Mt. Fuji. Leave Shinjuku aboard the super express romance-car enjoying the scenery en route to Hakone-Yumoto station. After a short bus ride our first stop is the town of Hakone, on the lake-shore of Lake Ashi. Enjoy the natural scenery of Lake Ahi and the Ancient Cedar Avenue, then explore the Hakone Checkpoint, established in 1619 by the Tokugawa Shogunate to control arms entering Edo (now Tokyo).
Enjoy a delightful cruise on Lake Ashi aboard a sightseeing pirate-ship traveling across Lake Ashi to Togendai enjoying the natural scenery en route. From Togendai, we take the Hakone ropeway up Mt. Sounzan for a spectacular panoramic view of Mt. Fuji and the valley below. Half way up the mountain at the hell valley called "Owakudan", which was formed by an volcanic explosion over 2000 years ago, walk on the promenade to enjoy the smoking volcano and sample the volcanic cooked black eggs.
